Watch: MAPPS Excutive Director to Testify on USGS FY 2012 Budget

MAPPS Executive Director John Palatiello has been invited to testify before Congress on the USGS budget for fiscal year 2012. His testimony will be before the House Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources, of the Committee on Natural Resources, which has oversight jurisdiction over the USGS. The hearing is on "Examining the Spending Priorities and the Missions of the U.S. Geological Survey and the President's FY 2012 Budget Proposal".

Also testifying will be USGS Director Marcia McNutt.
 
John will be discussing MAPPS views on budget priorities for USGS and the need for more strategic and better coordinated investments in the National Spatial Data Infrastructure and other geospatial activities.
